Amazon Alexa Available with Follow-Up Mode and New Innovations

Amazon Alexa has become a staple for users that aids them in their day to day life. Recently, Alexa has been updated with a couple of new features that will surely make everybody happy.

What is new

First of all, Alexa is now able to understand and perform successive tasks without the user having to repeat the trigger word. This new feature lessens the struggles that users have when they need to constantly repeat a trigger word in order to make a series of requests.

How is this going to happen? Amazon Alexa will now listen for 5 more seconds after the user has started speaking in order to hear if he or she has anything else to request. If the user does not say anything then Alexa will go to sleep. This is also interesting as Alexa will now only repeat requests if she is more than sure that they are clear demands, not just background noise that the program can hear.

You can now stop Alexa

How is that possible? Amazon said that Alexa now has a new feature which lets users say the words ”stop” and ”thank you”. This is going to be a great aid to many of the people that use Alexa because, at certain points, one feels the need to stop the conversation if other things intervene.

Where can you find these features

For those interested in these new Follow-Up mode features, we are here to tell you how you can unlock them. You just need to open your Amazon Alexa app, go to Settings and press the newly added ”Follow-Up Mode” bar. This new feature is available to all Amazon Echo devices but so far it is only available in US English.

Weirdly enough, some users have said that this new update makes Alexa laugh for no reason. This is a peculiar bug that will surely need to be looked at.
