Action Launcher Beta v26 Update Details

It’s no secret that Action Launcher is one of the best third party launchers available for download in the Google Play Store. At least, it’s no secret for those of us who are into that sort of thing. It’s also well-known that Android O, or Android 8.0 as we know of it now, is making its debut this fall, so Android apps are starting to prepare ahead of the launch so as their features would be fully integrated by the time the new operating system drops.

Although it might seem a bit premature, we assure that it is not. This new version of Android will roll out to most phones and tablets that support it in the same fixed time frame, as opposed to what we’ve been used to thus far. So, this fall Android O comes to all devices at once, thanks to Google’s ambitious Project Treble that ended rollout fragmentation once and for all.

But let’s get back to our topic, namely Action Launcher. The new beta version 26 of Android launchers has just been made available for testing by its developer, Chris Lacy. Lacy is hoping that, by allowing select devs to test out the app, the new version will turn out completely stable and optimized. This is something we know is being done with most software, so no surprises here.

The true surprise is that, upon entering Action Launcher beta v26, you will notice a lot of Android O features. Needless to say, these have been implemented in order to optimize the launcher as much as possible for the launch of Android 8.0. Of course, we’ll just have to wait for everything to happen in order for us to be able to give an apt verdict, but so far things are looking promising.
