Solution No.1: Clear cache, cookies, history and website data

Sometimes, Safari crashes before opening, right at the moment when you click on the icon, and sometimes it crashes after a couple of seconds. You need to clear cache, cookies, history and website data.

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Safari
  • Tap Clear History and Website Data
  • In the pop-up window, tap Clear History and Data



Solution No.2: Remove all website data

This can be helpful as well. Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, scroll down and click on Remove All Website Data, and confirm the action.


Solution No.3: Restart Safari app

When Safari keeps crashing, this solution can be very useful. To restart Safari app on your iPhone 6:

  • Click on the Home button two times to get a preview screen
  • Find Safar, and swipe up in order to close the app
