 Solution No.1: Turn the Airplane mode and charge your device  .

Go to Settings, turn the Airplane mode, and connect your iPhone 5s to a charger. Check out your device after a couple of minutes, because there is a chance everything works just fine.

 Solution No.2: Change the outlet and charger as well  .

When something like this happens, you should change the outlet, and if that doesn’t help, change the charger as well.

 Solution No.3: Switch the charging method  .

If you have been trying to charge your device with the iPhone wall charger, change the method, and connect your device to your computer via USB cable. If you tried to charge your phone via USB cable, use wall charger.

 Solution No.4: Restart your iPhone 5s  .

To do this, press and hold the sleep/wake button located on the top of your device, and when slider appears, drag it, and turn your device off. Again, press and hold the sleep/wake button, and turn your iPhone 5s back on.

Solution No.5: Erase all content and settings   .

Backup your files to iCloud first, and then, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all Content and Settings. When all content and settings are erased, set up your iPhone 5s as a new device.
