Solution No.1: Reboot your device.

  • Tap on the Home button two times to get a preview of the apps you have been using recently
  • Choose the app you wish to close, and swipe up.

Solution No.3: Turn off Background app refresh.

Background app refresh is a great option, and you should enable it for certain apps on your iPad. – the ones you use every day and check very often, but you should disable it for other apps. Here is how:

  • Navigate to Settings and tap on General
  • Tap on Background App Refresh
  • Disable the feature for the apps you don’t use as frequently.

Solution No.4: Turn off Push Notifications.

Same as for Background App Refresh, Push Notification is the feature that should be enabled only for the apps you really need, in which case you the notifications are useful. There is no need to get all kinds of notifications from many other apps that you don’t even use, because each time you get a notification, the screen on your device will wake up from the sleep mode.   • Navigate to Settings
  • Tap on Notifications
  • You will see the apps installed on your iPad, so disable this option for certain apps.

Solution No.5: Reset all Settings.

This will put all the settings on your iPad back to default, but it will not remove any files you have on your device. What you need to do here is this:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on General
