  1. Hi Rick! I stopped by apple store and find out my iphone 6 has a hardware failure…(wifi is not working) They offer me a new iphone for 340$ . I would like to try this trick … But i do not know where is the wifi temp sensor located on an iphone 6. Manny thank if you can help.

  2. Thanks for your suggestions. I would like to add a sixth solution which was the only one that has worked for me. Unfortunately the problem seems to reoccur about every month or so I have had to use it at least 4 time. Not sure why Apple hasn’t addressed this problem but maybe they’re afraid of the potential liability.

The way I understand it the WiFi radio is disabled because of some miscommunication with the system that detects an over-heating situation. The way to solve this is to get the top of the phone (near the speaker) really hot. Apparently this is where the WiFi temperature sensor is located. You do this with the phone on and use a hair dryer on the high setting. After about 5 minutes you will see a message on the screen warning that the phone needs to be shut off because it has reached too high a temperature. Shut off the phone (careful, the power switch will be very HOT!), You can either just let the phone sit on a cool damp towel or put it in the fridge for 10 minutes or the freezer for about five.
Once the phone is back to a normal temperature your WiFi should be working again. At least mine was every time this has happened to me. Good luck.
