Solution No.1: Bluetooth off/on

Navigate to Settings, turn the Bluetooth off and then back on. You can do this a few times.

Solution No.2: Airplane mode

If toggling Bluetooth didn’t solve the issue, navigate to Settings, enable the Airplane mode, wait for a while (15-20 seconds) and turn it back off.

Solution No.3: Forget Bluetooth device

Another thing you may try is to forget a Bluetooth device and then try pairing again. Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth, find a device and tap on (i) next to it. Tap Forget this device.

Solution No.4: Restart your iPhone and your Bluetooth device

Restart your iPhone by pressing the sleep/wake button and dragging the slider once it shows up on the screen. After the phone is off, press and hold the sleep/wake button to turn it back on. Also, restart your Bluetooth device. Try pairing again.

Solution No.5: Reset network settings

To reset network settings, do the following:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap General
  • Tap Reset
  • Tap Reset network settings
  • In a pop-up window, tap Reset network settings to confirm

If the above-mentioned solutions didn’t fix the issue, update the iOS software and reset all settings.

To update iOS, go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap Download and Install.

To reset all settings, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings, and then press Reset all settings to confirm your action. This will reset your iPhone to factory defaults, and won’t delete any of your data.

The last thing you may do if nothing esle works, is to Erase all content and settings, but make sure to backup all your files. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings, and tap Erase iPhone to confirm your action. Once this is completed, your device will restart and once it does, follow the on-screen steps to set up your iPhone as a new device.
